Hi i am using Omeprazole 20mg every morning from last 2-3 years i stop for a week or two every 3 month. i am fine for few day..and story start again the gastro pain,heart burning ,stomach upset ,etc…i have never come across a serious side effect! only the dark circle around my eyes.

I used omeprazole for about 6 weeks and my Doctor did not tell me of any side effect. When I started having diarrhea for over two and a half weeks and my body ached, shooting pains all around my legs, feet, and arms. I thought I had a more serious disease so I went back with the bottle of omeprazole in my hand. They never said it could be that, so they sent me to do blood test and they came back normal. I continued to have the same bad feeling and went back to the Dr., never not once did the dr. say anything about the medicine I was on. Just prescribed pain meds and meds for upset stomach. Not until I came home and did the research on my own about omeprazole that I discovered all of the symptoms I was having. I discontinued it about 10 days ago and I still fell some of the same body aches but not as bad. I am wondering how long will it be in my system. Oh I forgot It did work on my heartburn and still I don’t have it but the side effects are not worth it.

Hi there, after searching the net for some time for info about the omeprazole side effects, I ran into this site which had all the information I needed. I had been searching desperately for a comprehensive description of the omeprazole side effects and your site was quite a resource. I found the books you sell off this site quite helpful and I managed to get rid of the nagging side effects one after the other.

Hi, my name is Allyson and I got diagnosed with Gastroesophageal reflux disease about two months ago.
