Prilosec Side Effects

.

Why am I writing about this, well I suffered years of chronic heartburn and acid reflux (the 2 are the same in my eyes) and was prescribed Omeprazole (prilosec) for 2 weeks at a time. You can only take this for only 2 weeks at a time. The drug didn’t work and I suffered horrible side effects from taking omeprazole which is also known as Prilosec. You know what I mean when I say that the symptoms of chronic acid reflux are horrible. The contant nausea, excessive belching, bloating and heartburn that never goes away, and it is even worse when you lie on your side to go to sleep.

Omeprazole side effects

I used to get a lot of these, I always had pain in my upper chest and a horrible acid taste in my mouth.  After a meal, the symptoms were worse and to drink hot or cold drinks (or just swallow) I would have a burning pain in my throat due to the acid from my stomach coming up and burning my throat.  Because of the soreness in my throat I would constantly cough, especially at night, which again was due to the acid inflaming my windpipe, which also caused me to wheeze. And, if this could not get any worse it caused my gums and tongue to always be sore and I had really bad breath. Omeprazole Side Effects that I had were some of the below (and I also list all the Prilosec Side Effects for your information) :

constipation

one thing that i have to point out about the books that i bought from this site is that they did wonders for me and totally got rid of my omeprazole side effects.it is one thing to know that you have to get the side effects if you want to be better but wouldn’t you rather know how to deal with these side effects and make them poof away like magic? its your choice actually but right now i am happy i did not choose to save the money i used to buy these books because all the side effects are gone.
Thank God i stumbled upon this site.

  2. I was really poorly with acid reflux / heartburn. I knew that Omperazole could have bad side effects so I didn’t take it when prescribed.

After finding this site I came back a couple ties and ended up buying the book recommended. Would you believe I feel so much better.

I wasn’t cured instantly, it actually took 3 weeks longer than the “Sales” page advised – but I don’t care I am better

    Highly recommended.

I’ve been on Omeprazole for 2 years with absolutely no side effects. I have a reduced Lower esophageal sphincter which causes excess acid as food takes longer to hit my stomach. Since starting on Omeprazole I have been able to eat normally. Every other remedy both medical and non-medical hasn’t worked.

i have been taking this medication for a week and feel awful !!! got terrible headaches and just dont feel right. im going to stop taking as would rather have the heartburn

I take omeprazole off and on. I have heard that the product weakens bones. I “have” experienced this a little bit. I’ve experienced cracking in the knees, when i walk. Or so, thats what it sounds like. I think i’ve experienced a little bit of confusion at times too. ARD (Acid Reflux Desease). Im not sure if its “exactly” that though, but it “could” be. I also take chewable antacid tablets half the time, and I use milk a lot too, to help coat my esophagus a little.

I was afraid to take Omeprazole at first, so I decided to try out this doctor’s book. I’m not fully understanding how a piece of paper that says “An apple a day keeps the doctor away” is any piece of normal advice. Despite the warnings that had been foretold, I tried Omeprazole and now owe both my life, and stomach, to this miraculous drug.

  7. I previosly didn’t have any reflux but my Dr. Prescribed it to me prior to my endoscopy procedure. Now in a week I broke up with rash all over my body( big welts) .

I have been taking omeprazole for a couple o months.A few days ago I finished the Omeprazole capsules. I went to my new PCP he prescribed more omeprazole tablets, today after three days of taking the drug I developed, hives all over my body, arms, belly and legs. I went to two of the pharmacies near by, asked the pharmacist if that would be a side effect from the drug, one pharmacist said not, another pharmacist said yes is a side effect. I wish some one who tell me the truth I am in search for answers; That is how I came to this site, I don’t want to suffer the side effects, but I want to get well. Please help with your advice, I am an ignorant in regards of this matter.Thank You

Look this does sound like it could be side effects of prilosec. The best thing to do is go back to your dr and ask, if you are taking prilosec/omeprazole for acid reflux or heartburn I would suggest the book that cured mine. You can get it here, http://www.omeprazolesideeffects.com/no_more_omeprazole_side_effects.php

  10. Whatacon says:

OK. So you all realise that this page is a con, right? I have been taking Omaperazole daily for 3 years, as an alternative to Ranitidine and have had absolutely no side effects. The drug, in my opinion, is miraculous and one tablet at night has completely removed all if my horrendous heartburn / ARF symptoms.

If you want medical advice, ask a doctor, not some geek running a website.

  11. Thomas says:

Hey, we’re not saying everyone gets side effects from this drug. But people do, and also, whilst on the subject it is our opinion and our opinion only that this drug is a gateway to worse things because it is stopping your body producing acids that we all need.

    Anyway, thanks for commenting
