The simplest way to describe chronic acid reflux would be to call it a more severe case of reoccurring heartburns. Hello everybody, my name is April and I have to share this with you guys coz I have found this very helpful and it has even helped my brother who has been undergoing treatment for CHRONIC ACID REFLUX. He had been having these omeprazole side effects and being a guy, he had ignored them for a long time thinking they will just go away on their own with time. Thank the big man upstairs that I discovered this site when I did. I have been undergoing treatment for GERD for such a long time I don’t even remember how many weeks it is. The best prescribed drug for treating this is apparently omeprazole. One thing I can assure you I did not appreciate at all is the omeprazole side effects. They had me seeing this wrong and sometimes you just couldn’t be near me because I was so irritated my husband and kids would rather hide in the next room. Omeprazole side effects are not a joke..for real! So, back to my point, when you are at the hospital they tell you that you will have minor headaches and you will vomit once in a while. Those are not the omeprazole side effects that I had. My headaches were as bad as they come and I was vomiting more than a pregnant lady. Actually now I feel nauseous just thinking about those days. Yes that’s right, my omeprazole side effects have been gone ever since I read the important resources here and bought the books. I believe that taking this product has caused me to walk in my sleep and do some other strange things which I’m some what embarrased to mention.(like crawling in bed with other people in my family other than my wife and peeing in a trash can in the bathroom).
This would most likely fall under the side affects such as restlessness,and not sleeping soundly as well as a number of other things.
I believe that taking this product, while relieving my reflux problem has caused other problems. I have found my self walking in my sleep and awakening in my kids bed. I also have awakened found my self walking out side in the middle of the night. There have also been other issues that I’m a bit embarrased to say, like urinating in the trash can in the bathroom, but don’t realize it till the morning.
I am guessing that these side affects fall under restlessness and sleeplessness.
I have stopped taking this product and I am sleeping alot better.
I’ve been taking omeperzole for years for my heartburn,now i have bone problems and throat problems,and i don’t get much sleep anymore.And been anemic twice in 2 yrs.
Im having burning and stinging whenever my body gets warm. The clinic I go to dont seem to know why this is happening. Ive taken prilosec for the past 4 years. I cannot exercise or cook or be in a hot area, this is driving me crazy. I need help in finding out what may be causing this.
