Prilosec is a top-selling drug for the treatment of gastric reflux disease and stomach ulcers which is now available over-the-counter. The package insert lists the most common Prilosec OTC side effects. However, in this article, we will look at two Prilosec OTC side effects that have a less than 1% incidence but, nevertheless, can be very distressing for the sufferer. These are insomnia and weight gain.
